After a few weeks teasing collaborationOn Friday, November 8, the couple released a cover of Ron Sexsmith’s “Maybe This Christmas.” The holiday song will be featured on Jason’s annual Philadelphia-themed holiday album. Philadelphia Christmas Party Special.

“Maybe this Christmas will mean something more / Maybe this year love will come / Deeper than ever before,” Jason sings in the song, written by Sexsmith and Charles Bolt.

Nicks’ lyrics say, “Maybe forgiveness will ask us to call/The one we love, someone we’ve lost/For reasons we can’t remember.”

“Maybe a door will be opened / Maybe the star that shone before / Will shine once again,” the couple sing together.

The song’s release came after Jason raved about it. working with the Fleetwood Mac icon during an appearance on the October 30 episode New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast.

“You’re going to have to work with Stevie Nicks!” Travis Kelsey said as Jason responded, “Yes, baby. The legendary Stevie Nicks performed a duet with me.”

“Which in itself is pretty crazy to be on a track with Stevie Nicks. I mean, absolutely unrealistic.” retired Philadelphia Eagles player continuation.

“(She’s) probably the most legendary singer, especially of her generation… (and so) the fact that I get to sing this legend with her is pretty surreal,” Jason added.

The athlete also called Nix “one of the nicest people I’ve ever interacted with” with an “absolutely beautiful personality.”

New Heights The podcast first hinted at a possible duet on October 2. Instagram post, sharing a photo of Jason and Nicks, apparently in a recording studio.

“The crossover we never knew existed,” the caption read. “A Christmas album coming soon near you ”
