Ipswich bauble Christmas tree won’t return after storm damage

An artistic LED interpretation of a Christmas tree damaged during a hurricane last winter will not return this holiday season.

Ipswich’s Bauble was originally displayed on Cornhill in 2012 before moving to the seafront in 2017.

In January, it was blown away from its site near Suffolk University during Storm Henk.

Jane Riley, Ipswich City Council’s culture and clients portfolio holder, said it was “damaged beyond repair” and would not be returning for the upcoming festive period, as first reported Ipswich Star, external.
