Podcaster Joe Rogan suggested that the United States government was involved in the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy on Saturday in a brief discussion on his podcast following his interview with former President Donald Trump.

Trump promised declassify the remaining files during his Friday interview with the top-rated podcaster, repeating the oath he made during May 2023. interview with the Messenger. Rogan said Trump’s explanation that some of those named in the files were still alive pointed to potential government involvement in Kennedy’s assassination.

“I said, ‘OK,’ so you won’t publish this because some of the people who would be involved in this are still alive, so to me that suggests the government is involved,” Rogan said.

At the start of the post-interview discussion, Rogan said he looked forward to the files being released.

“I don’t want to be on a podcast where there’s a lot of crap that I want to hear,” Rogan said. “I want to know what the fuck is in JFK’s files.”

During an interview Friday, Trump named former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as one of those who advised him at the time not to release all the documents entirely.

“I opened them partially. I was met by – good people, I mean, you know, look at me, good people, people who had the best intentions, Mike Pompeo was one of them, he’s a good person. Uh, they called me and said, “Sir, it would be better if you weren’t here.” And then I opened them, but some people asked me not to open them,” Trump told Rogan during a Friday interview.

“By the way, there is also the Martin Luther King file that they would like to see, I don’t know if you know, but it is there, but in particular John Kennedy,” Trump continued. “So I get calls, I get calls from a lot of good people, people that I, you know, what would you find reasonable people, and they asked me not to do this, so I said, well, we’ll close it for another time. But if I win, I will open them.”

Trump declassified over 2,800 documents in 2017 relating to the November 22, 1963 assassination. President Joe Biden released additional documents in 2021 and 2022, but critics have accused Biden of lacking transparency.

Trump explained that one of the reasons he was asked not to open the entire files was because of the impact it could have on people still alive.

“Live people who used to work for the government?” – Rogan asked.

“For the government and the living people who were somehow involved in this,” Trump responded.

National Archives released additional documents dated June 30, 2023.

– Why didn’t you open it the first time? Rogan asked earlier. “What was the hesitation?”

“Addresses, people who are still alive, there are people who have been hurt, hmm, and there may be some national security reason that you know that I don’t necessarily know about, but some very good talented people have asked me not to talk about about this. do it,” Trump explained. “I opened it and then they said can we do it another day?”

Trump said he would not hesitate to declassify the documents if he returns to office in the Nov. 5 general election.

“This is a purge, you know, this is really a purge, so I’m going to do it,” Trump told Rogan. “I’m going to do it immediately, almost as soon as I walk in.
