Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé vie to steal the contestant after a near-perfect performance

Night 3 Voice The battle rounds included six head-to-head duels, two coaching takedowns and one very unexpected cliffhanger.

Twelve talented Voice The contenders met on Monday’s episode, hoping to outlast their fellow duels and advance to the next round of the Knockouts competition, which is just around the corner. It was an episode filled with tough decisions and danger as coaches Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé tried to decide whose dreams to keep and whose to end prematurely.

Now that Voice approaching the midway point of the season, there is no doubt that the talent level continues to rise. Find out which singers stood out on the latest episode of Battle, who got another chance, and who left coaches and viewers on the edge of their seats.

The battle between Team Reba’s Craig Reipe and Lauren-Michael Sellers may not have been the flashiest—Monday’s episode may have had more exciting duels—but their emotional cover of “You Will Be Found,” an original ballad from Dear Evan Hansen The Broadway musical captivated us. The ingredients were there from the very beginning. During rehearsals, their mixed harmonies and expressive performances struck a chord with McIntyre, who was visibly upset after the rehearsal.

When it came time for the duo to fight, the duo exceeded all expectations. After the performance, Stephanie struggled to determine the winner because Ripe and Sellers were tied. “I was constantly back-and-forth about who would win, and by the end I wasn’t getting anywhere,” she said.

Reluctantly, she chose Reipe. Bublé was equally impressed, stating that “on a show called Voicethey each have voice”. Snoop leaned toward Sellers because he felt “her voice became more subdued.”

It all came down to McIntyre. The country star praised Sellers’ “fierce ferocity” and mindset: “I know where I’m going and that’s where I’m going to land (performance).” She praised Reipe more succinctly, saying he “could be a Beach Boy.”

McIntyre ultimately chose Sellers as the winner of the battle. “You want to hear from someone who brings you joy,” she explained, adding that “women watching will really fall in love with her.”

If McIntyre had left another And he chose Reipe – it was so close to a decision – Bublé was ready to use his “interception” to catch Sellers.

“I was going to save her,” he admitted to a surprised McIntyre.

The first battle of the episode resulted in the first “interception” of the evening. After Team Reba R&B singer Deon Jones was ousted in favor of rock ‘n’ roll singer Danny Joseph after performing James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World”, he was quickly snatched up by Stefani, keeping him Voice hopes are alive.

“I had to steal Deon, I couldn’t let him go home,” Stephanie said. “It seems like he can do almost anything with his voice. He is not only a good singer, but also a great performer.”

He wasn’t the only contestant to get another opportunity. The final battle of the episode between Stephanie’s four-chair team turns Austins Stancil and Jose Luis was almost perfect. After contemplating who to keep, she chose youth over experience, choosing Luis as the winner of the Battle.

The other coaches were not going to let Stancil go and pushed the buttons as soon as they had the opportunity. It was like the blind auditions all over again, with McIntyre, Snoop and Bublé trying to convince Stancil. Snoop had the most caustic argument when he stated, “I wanted you the first time, but I didn’t get you. I wanted you a second time and I will have you.”

If you thought we’d find out who Stancil’s new trainer is by the end of the episode, Voice he had other plans, and his decision was an unexpected cliffhanger.

Fans will find out who Stancil’s new coach will be. While it would be to anyone’s advantage, both vocally and musically, Bublé might be a better fit, but this season Voice turned out to be more unpredictable than usual.

We’re heading into the fourth night of the Battle Rounds, so beyond that unanswered question, expect more broken dreams and more “steals” as trainers lock down their teams.

Voice continues October 29 at 8:00 pm ET on NBC.
