And the adorable couple delved into some of the most important topics, including the pyramids, is the earth flat and the moon landing.

He was asked if he thought people built the pyramidsKyrgios replied: “No, I don’t know. This is impossible. And you?”

Theroux said: “Definitely. I just think they were rolling huge blocks on logs.”

But former world number 13 Kyrgios was having none of it.

He added: “It’s crazy. The fact that how is it possible that they made all the measurements correct and everything aligned?

“And they did it by rolling big rocks over logs—it’s crazy.

“Why are the doors so big? For example, who needs to go through doors if they are so big?

“I don’t know who it was. I just don’t think we were capable of it.

“It’s 2024 and we can’t even get along.

Then the conversation turned to moon landingto which Kyrgios said: “I have my own thoughts on that.”

He then asked, “Who landed on the moon? Do you think the Americans did it first?

Theroux replied: “Is this a trick question?”

But Kyrgios, who now has no tennis The world ranking, having played one match in two years, insisted: “I’m just asking you.”

And when they got to the shape of our planet, Kyrgios became shy and evasive again.

Kyrgios told Theroux to go first and the TV presenter simply said: “The earth is round.”

The Australian continued: “I would probably be inclined to say it’s round.

“But I also wouldn’t be surprised if it was something else.

“Maybe we should have a beer and do this off the record.”

He drank most of his alcohol alone, and further difficulties led him to turn to self-harm, prompting him to wear a sleeve over his arm.

Kyrgios added: “I just found it hard to be who I was, it was hard at the time and I didn’t feel like I could take a step back from the sport and kind of work on myself and get into the right space.”

“I just played and played and played and kind of dealt with everything.

“It was a dark time. I drank, lost control and continued to gamble and travel. It was a lot.”

Asked how many drinks he would drink, Kyrgios added: “20 or 30 drinks, easy, I’d be drunk like a fish.

“But then just wake up and play Rafa Nadal The next day. Give him a good chance to make money.”

Kyrgios has barely played since losing the 2022 Wimbledon final.
