Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee honors Lewisburg teen

LEWISBURG, Tenn. (WTVF) — Olivia walks out the back door of her house holding hands with her mom. The crowd of people from her community standing outside the small green barn knew what was about to happen.

On the 25th anniversary of making wishes come true, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee and Tractor Supply honored Olivia as she battles cystic fibrosis.

Tractor Supply Foundation Executive Director Marti Skold-Jordan helped take Olivia’s art from the kitchen table into a space she can call her own.

“The guys from Tractor Supply’s creative department came and painted it, brought all the art supplies they liked and knew she would love it. I like rolls of paper that fall,” says Sköld-Jordan.

Olivia took it all in hand with her mom and they both walked into Olivia’s Art Barn.

“When I saw the smile on Olivia’s face today, it was priceless,” Skold-Jordan said.

It’s a surprise that stunned Olivia and her family with both art and heart.

A trip to see some of our neighbors’ best Halloween decorations.

There are only a few days left until Halloween. Americans are expected to spend about $12 billion on candy, costumes and jewelry this year. Over the past few years, it seems like more and more people are going out of their way to decorate their homes. Forrest Sanders had the opportunity to visit several communities in the middle of the state to see some of these Halloween decorations.
