How Sekou Kone is settling in at Manchester United

When The club announced the signing of Kone on deadline dayno one thought he would compete Kobby Mainu and others for a few minutes – this step led to radical changes in his life.

But since it’s November and he hasn’t played for the U21 team yet, United in Focus spoke to a journalist. Graham Bailey to understand how the midfielder is doing.

“For him, the main thing is education; having settled in England, it is important for him to get comfortable in life,” they explained.

“My understanding is they never thought about a first team for him this season and if it got to that point it would be a huge bonus.

“But I heard he’s settled in well and that was the main priority, whether he plays two or 20 youth games, I don’t think that’s an issue, they want him to settle in.”

Graham then added that Kone could expect Manchester United playing time – at some level – in the new year.

“They will be stuck with him into the new year in terms of playing time. But from what they told me, they are very happy with how he has settled down.”

Does Sekou Kone fit into Ruben Amorim’s tactics?

Although he has yet to play a minute at any level, Kone was signed with first team football in mind.

It was reported that Kone impressed Erik ten Hagthat even prompted the Malian to be recruited into the main football team.

As a midfielder, Kone was compared to a mixture of Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kante. – something that bodes well for Amoirum if he lives up to even half of that amount.

Such a dynamic midfielder will clearly have a role to play in Amorim’s team and we expect that once his position is restored, Kone will become an integral part of the team in the coming years.

Kone can defend, pass and boast a great football mind which will help him greatly if everything comes together. Amorim could be the ideal coach to achieve this in the near future.

However, it is important for him to settle down first.
