Two NFL teams that finished last in their rookie quarterbacks’ rookie seasons will go head-to-head on Sunday when the Tennessee Titans host the New England Patriots.

Even though both offenses have problems producing, this week I’ll show why I like the over in my predictions for the Patriots vs. Titans matchup. Keep reading for my full analysis of this day’s game. free nfl picks on November 3.

Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm ET at Nissan Stadium in Nashville and the game will air on FOX.

My analysis
There are not only fans New England Patriots And Tennessee Titans There wasn’t much to get excited about this year, but it wasn’t much fun to watch these two teams play either. The Titans are averaging just 17.1 points per game this season, while New England is playing even worse, allowing just 15.5 points per game.

But these numbers don’t tell the whole story. These teams are also, for the most part, terrible defensively, which leads me to think these offenses will have at least limited success this Sunday.

Both teams are trying to help rookie quarterbacks get into the NFL game, which is difficult when they’re constantly under pressure.

Worth noting is the Titans QB. Will Lewis and Patriots signal caller Drake May unsure about Sunday’s game, with Levis nursing a shoulder injury and May remaining in concussion protocol. But neither of them produced much, and I don’t expect any loss in production – and perhaps even a slight increase – if their respective journeyman backups played instead.

Regardless of who takes the snaps, both backup QBs should enjoy a relatively comfortable game. The Patriots are averaging just 1.9 sacks per game, while the Titans are slightly better at 2.0 sacks per game.

While the Titans have a statistically sound defense in almost every metric except scoring, quarterbacks are relatively effective against them, allowing opponents a passer rating of 93.8. Meanwhile, New England is giving up 7.3 yards per pass attempt, one of the worst in the league.

Tennessee should also be able to run the ball against the Patriots’ mediocre running game, which could give the Titans an edge in this contest. But overall, both teams will find opportunities to move the ball as they are not shutdown defensive units.

In terms of points, these teams have generally been playing above Sunday’s lows lately. The Titans have scored 41 or more points in seven of their last eight games; The Patriots have scored a total of 43 or more runs in five of their last seven. I’m not saying it’ll be a penalty shootout, but 38 isn’t enough to put me off the over.

Tony Pollard lands any time

I like the Over in this matchup, but I also think the Titans are a clear pick in the spread as well. That’s why I combine the two bets for my bet on the same game on Sunday.

The Titans are playing at home and have the defensive tools to stop New England, while I think Tennessee has at least a couple weapons that will give the Patriots some problems.

The most obvious one is running back. Tony Pollardwhich was the best option for a Titans team that had little success moving the ball through the air.

Pollard has three touchdowns on the year and gets the lion’s share of the carries, putting him in a good position to score again on Sunday. Whether it’s downfield or just a goal line situation, I expect Pollard to find the end zone.
