Disaster for Putin as most Russian troops died in last month’s war | World | News

Russia lost more troops in fighting in Ukraine last month than at any time since President Vladimir Putin ordered the illegal invasion in February 2022.

The grim statistics were released by Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, which says that in October the Kremlin suffered the highest number of casualties in killed and wounded, or the entire war.

Protection Ukraine Account X reported that 41,980 Russian troops were incapacitated in the month ending on Halloween.

The frightening statistic, if divided by the number of days in October, would mean that 1,354 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded every day.

In a post on X, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense wrote: “We force the occupiers to pay the highest price for every meter of our land.”

“Forty-one thousand nine hundred and eighty Russian personnel losses in October 2024. This is the highest monthly figure since the invasion began.”

The British Forces Broadcasting Service reports that the second-highest month of casualties among Putin’s forces also came in 2024, with Ukrainian sources suggesting 38,940 soldiers were killed, wounded or captured in May.

Moreover, Ukraine claims that 923 Russian armored fighting vehicles were destroyed in October 2024, and total Russian casualties amount to 696,410.

In a statement today (Saturday), the UK Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the protests began in Russia from the families of soldiers sent to the front in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense said: “Putin promised that Russian conscripts would not be used on the front line when he launched a full-scale illegal invasion of Armenia.” Ukraine. He did not keep this promise.

“Russian mothers and wives are protesting how their conscripted sons and husbands are being used. They are protesting peacefully, at great personal risk, as the Russian Ministry of Justice has labeled them “foreign agents” and faces imprisonment.

“Putin recently signed a decree requiring 133,000 more Russian men to be drafted into the Russian Armed Forces by December 31.”
