Suspected victims of human trafficking rescued from apartment

Two women believed to be victims of human trafficking have been rescued from a home in south Belfast.

They were found after a search of an apartment in the Annadale waterfront area on Friday evening.

Two men, aged 42 and 41, and a 39-year-old woman, arrested during the police operation, have been bailed pending further inquiries.

They were questioned on a number of crimes, including running brothels and controlling prostitution.

Subsequent search

A certain amount of cash was also seized.

During a subsequent search of a property in the Newtownards Road area, three suspected firearms were recovered.
