Cardboard tables Ionia Co. Pitch landfill plan

The Board of Commissioners on Tuesday discussed and then presented a proposed amendment to the county’s Solid Waste Management Plan that would double the maximum annual amount of solid waste entering the Pitch Landfill from 100,000 to 200,000 tons. The company is already over the annual limit of 100,000 tons and originally requested a limit of 500,000 tons, which was lowered to 300,000 and then reduced to 200,000 by the Ionia County Solid Waste Management Planning Committee.
