Allegra Spender and Helen Haynes return to the Chairman’s Lounge membership

Independent MPs Allegra Spender and Helen Haynes will return their invitation-only Qantas Chairman’s Lounge membership and have called on airlines to stop offering politicians upgrades to first and business class.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said he does not believe any of his staff sought promotions from Qantas management on his behalf. Miss Spender accused the major parties of blocking competition by preventing Qatar from gaining greater access to the Australian aviation market.
