Trump went off script at final campaign rally and shared an ominous forecast

Donald Trump seemed to realize mid-rally Monday morning that his campaign appearance in Raleigh, North Carolinawill be his last in the state.

The former president processed this realization in real time, veering off script before returning to ominous territory with his written remarks.

“Think about this: I won’t do this to North Carolina again,” he said. “And I won’t do it anymore… after today I just think about it, I experience it, that this will be our last moment.”

“But the more exciting moment is actually about to begin,” he continued.

Trump spoke at the JS Dorton Arena, taking the stage 40 minutes after his scheduled arrival amid reports of a lower-than-expected turnout at the 7,610-seat stadium. Video of reporters at the rally did show many empty seats the day before Trump met with the Democratic nominee. Kamala Harris in the elections.

Ugh. @VonHilliard at Trump’s smaller crowds in recent days.

“For 9 years we have been talking about the enthusiasm and the masses that came out to Trump rallies. But what’s interesting is that we’ve seen much smaller crowds this last week.” pic.twitter.com/5hJLs4emy9

“You see, these moments of hundreds and hundreds of the most incredible rallies in any country – no country has ever seen anything like this – but these moments, these moments that we experienced together, were really just to create what we Hopefully we’ll create tomorrow and we’ll make America great again,” Trump said. “So, we will have many meetings, but there will be no rallies. We will have…maybe we will unite in this, we will unite in our success.”

Trump then returned to his teleprompter, where his written remarks hinted darkly at what would happen if he were elected.

“After everything we’ve been through together, we stand on the cusp of four of the greatest years in American history,” he predicted.

“With your help, we will restore America’s promise and take back the nation we all love so much. We are one people, one family and one glorious nation under God.”

Trump, who was impeached for trying to overturn the 2020 election by encouraging a violent mob to attack the US Capitol, then vowed to “never, ever give up.”

“Together we will fight, fight, fight and we will win, win, win,” he said. “November. Day five will be the most important day in the history of our country.”
