The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has sold more than 2.5 million copies since its launch in September.

Legend of Zelda games are always hits, so it’s no surprise that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has infiltrated Nintendo’s millionaire’s club. The latest installment in the series, this time starring the title character, sold over 2.5 million copies.

On November 5, 2024, Nintendo released its Q2 2025 Earnings Results which revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdoms has sold 2.5 million copies since launch on September 26, 2024. This puts it squarely in Nintendo’s collection of million-selling games, alongside games like Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Despite the success of Echoes of Wisdom, Nintendo lowered its sales forecast for the software by 5 million units. Nintendo now projects 160 million software units will be sold in fiscal 2025. This decline was also reflected in hardware: the company reduction in forecast to 12.5 million units in fiscal 2025.
