NBA fans react to news of Ja Morant’s injury before the Grizzlies’ match against the Wizards

NBA fans react to news of Ja Morant’s injury before the Grizzlies’ match against the Wizards

The trend of injury problems for the Memphis Grizzlies has continued into this season with several key players suffering injuries early in the year. As the Grizzlies face the Washington Wizards on Friday, they will have to do so without their star guard Ja Morant.

Morant will miss Friday’s home game against the Wizards with hip soreness, marking the second time this season he’s been sidelined. His first missed game of the season was against the Chicago Bulls, where he left the game with right hip soreness.

NBA fans reacted to this injury news.

Via @jacobtenn: “I guess the pain is just a rest, maybe that’s normal.”

Via @NickTho3: “At least it’s not a hamstring for Jah.”

Via @Jakever1: “We should be averaging 6 injured players per game, man.”

Via @BIGMEM12: “Don’t panic, give him a rest, he’ll be back soon dw”

Via @e5_mayor: “Rest 12”

Judging by the reaction, Grizzlies fans were relieved to see that Morant’s injury wasn’t as serious as expected. After Morant was injured on a cross attempt in the third quarter on Wednesday, fans were concerned it could be a hamstring injury.

Moreover, the responses show that fans are not disheartened considering they are facing a 2-4 Wizards team this season.
