Mina Starsiak Hawk posts a photo of herself in an empty church and asks fans what they think she’s “up to”

Mina Starsiak Hawk is working on something big, and has given her fans a hint of what it might be.

HGTV Star shared a photo himself in church on Thursday, November 7, showing only part of his face with rows of empty pews behind it. A colorful sign reading “St. Mark” is visible in the background.

The house of worship appears to be St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in downtown Indianapolis, described on its website as a “historic landmark with a welcoming and lively congregation.”

“Exciting things,” Starsiak Hawk began her Instagram caption. “Shitting yourself is scary, but exciting. But it wouldn’t be my style if I didn’t vacillate somewhere between amazing and crazy.”

She then asked her followers: “So, what are your guesses as to what I’m up to?!”

The reactions of her followers varied.

“Yay! Church renovation!! wrote one commenter, followed by a clapping emoji.

“Are you turning a church into a pub and restaurant?” someone else asked, while another comment said, “Oooh, new wedding venue?! It will be beautiful, I’m sure!”

Although most answers suggested that good bones star was renovating a church for something other than her original purpose, others asked if she was “becoming a nun”, “getting baptized” or “participating in a revival” Sister Act

Starsiak Hawk, who spent eight seasons renovating homes in Indianapolis. good bonesShe and her mother, Karen E Lane, opened the home renovation business Two Chicks and a Hammer in 2007.

While Lane stepped back from the company in 2019, she continued to appear on the show alongside Starsiak Hawk and their team until the show’s original run ended in October 2023.

Mina previously said on her podcast: Mina A.F., that there was tension between her and her family during the final season of the original show. She said she wasn’t “in a great location” either Lane or her brother Tad.

A three-part spin-off from good bones It premiered in August and focused on the mother and daughter’s “new beginnings” as they took on separate projects in different states.

In the first episode of the limited series, Mina, who has two children – six-year-old son Jack and four-year-old daughter Charlie – with husband Steve Hawk, turned an Indiana lake house into a retreat for her young family.

In episodes two and three, Lane renovated a renovation shop in Wilmington, North Carolina to build her dream beach house. While she was talking about retirement on the show, she mentioned property on the market at the beginning of October.

Mine recently reflected on how her long-running HGTV series changed her life.

In a series of Instagram Stories posted last month, she shared her answers to fans’ questions, including whether she missed filming. Good bones.

“I grew up doing good bones“, she wrote. “I started when I was 20 years old. I’ll be 40 this year. I’ve spent most of my adult life making the show.”

“I miss real work,” she continued. “Fun. Jokes. Amazing relationship. An experience that I had that I never would have had if it wasn’t for the show. I miss him 100%.”
