Samajwadi Party leader and MLA Abu Asim Azmi jumped into Fight over seat sharing in Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), threatening to field candidates in 25 seats if the opposition alliance fails to allocate five seats to his party’s candidates.

On Friday, Abu Asim Azmi, Samajwadi Party chief and three-time Member of Parliament from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar constituency, went to the YB Chavan Center in Mumbai to meet Sharad Pawar, who is considered the negotiator for the MVA seat-sharing talks. allies in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections.

Addressing the media after the meeting, Azmi gave his MVA allies until Saturday afternoon to agree on their demand for five seats.

“I asked for five places. We have MLAs in two seats (Bhiwandi East and Mankhurd),” Azmi said. The other three seats that Azmi is contesting are Bhiwandi West, Malegaon and Dhule.

“I will wait until tomorrow. After that, I will make a decision and nominate 25 candidates,” he added.

Azmi also warned against dividing the Muslim vote. “If you don’t ensure representation of minorities, they will fight and you will have another Haryana,” he said, highlighting the Congress’ defeat in the recently held Haryana Assembly elections.

Elections to the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly will be held in a single phase on November 20 and the results will be declared on November 23.

Congress published its first list out of 48 candidates, while NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) released a list of 45 candidates And The Shiv Sena (UBT) has named 65 names. still.
