“I’d rather play for the youth team”

“I’d rather play for the youth team”

We asked you for your thoughts on Hibs’ 1-1 draw with Hearts.

Here’s what some of you said:

Cameron: Soft defender and missed a late goal again! Every Hibs fan has seen week after week that our defense is showing shocking lapses in concentration. This is the team’s worst result since Pat Fenlon.

John: At least we managed to survive the nervous nineties without losing a single goal. We weren’t composed enough in midfield to face a very average Hearts team, but clear chances should have been given up.

Rona: A positive result as not many Hibs fans could say we were looking forward to this game after Hearts had won their last two matches. The only negative to take is that the goalkeeper made too many mistakes now and cost us three points when he botched a through ball which led to Hearts equalising.

Jim: It’s just not good enough. The defensive stats speak for themselves, I hope they’re scattered all over the home locker room, they just don’t read very well.

Scott: David Gray must have been watching another match. We were poor in every way, Lewis Miller again struggled defensively, couldn’t hold onto the ball and didn’t take risks. We are at the bottom of the league for a reason Gray can’t see or solve. He talked about this unit again and again, why? They are poor on all sides.

Brian: Really bad football. So many aimless long passes, the goalkeeper isn’t good enough and they don’t look well trained, I’m sad to say.

Andy: I’d rather play in the back line of the youth team than the charlatans currently playing in the jersey. We are at the bottom of the league because our defense is terrible and we don’t take chances forward. It’s been like this for the last five years, wake up Hibs!
