Tyler Reddick made a fantastic move in Turn 3 to pass Ryan Blaney to take the win. Reddick advances to Championship 4 for the first time in his career.

Denny Hamlin restarted in third and took the lead after rising high in a four-ball situation with Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott.

Blaney then made a move inside to try to take the lead.

The leaders needed new tires. Kyle Larson came to a slow stop after spinning to show the caution and the left rear needed extra time. He scored the 10th.

Tyler Reddick, who had just pitted, remained on the sidelines and is now in the lead.

Chasing for the lead, Ryan Blaney and Kyle Larson ran alongside Austin Dillon, who was coming down the lap. Blaney and Larson passed below Dillon in turn three. Larson tapped Blaney’s sidebar and spun around for the sixth caution.

Larson was able to continue playing and is currently in second place.

Denny Hamlin passed Christopher Bell and Chase Elliott on the front stretch to take fourth place. Ryan Blaney and Kyle Larson will battle each other for the lead. Hamlin should be able to get closer.

Tyler Reddick made a pit stop and practically cannot claim victory.

Tyler Reddick made his last pit stop on lap 187 and will have a long time to wait for a late-race caution. The caution would allow Reddick to lead the lap after his pit stop.

The leaders face a final pit stop with 47 laps remaining in Sunday’s race at Homestead. Ryan Blaney leads the pit stop.

So far, the playoff pilots have had no problems in the pits.

Blaney returned to the lead after passing Chase Elliott after his pit stop.

Ryan Blaney led 26 laps and leads the race with less than 60 laps remaining. Chase Elliott, in second, led 80 laps. Here are the top 10 players as they competed: The playoff drivers took the top seven spots:

  1. Ryan Blaney
  2. Chase Elliott
  3. Kyle Larson
  4. Christopher Bell
  5. Tyler Reddick
  6. Denny Hamlin
  7. William Byron
  8. Alex Bowman
  9. Carson Hochevar
  10. AJ Allmendinger

Ryan Blaney won the dirt race due to a caution from Justin Haley. He turns the field back to the green and has another pit stop ahead of him.

The teams remind drivers to conserve fuel as much as possible.

Justin Haley spun again as he did on the first lap. This time he didn’t hit Ricky Stenhouse Jr., he was turned around by Ty Gibbs. Drivers are about to make a pit stop due to a warning.

Kyle Larson hit the wall on the first stage, dropping him to 34th place. He was fighting for sixth place and chasing Denny Hamlin for fifth.

Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott and Christopher Bell are half a second behind each other and in the lead. Blaney and Elliott fight door to door for the lead.

Chase Elliott and Christopher Bell take front-row seats to start the final leg and battle for the lead.

Expect two pit stops, possibly in the closing stages.

Denny Hamlin won stage two after a fierce battle to complete the stage with Chase Elliott. The playoff drivers dominated the second stage. It was Hamlin’s seventh stage win of the season and first in 12 races.

Top 10 in Stage 2:

  1. Denny Hamlin
  2. Chase Elliott
  3. Christopher Bell
  4. Tyler Reddick
  5. Ryan Blaney
  6. William Byron
  7. Martin Truex Jr.

  10. AJ Allmendinger

Hamlin took the lead for the first time at Homestead, but Chase Elliott isn’t going to give up that easily. Elliott battles Hamlin as the two drivers race against each other at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Chase Elliott took a step forward to pull away from Ryan Blaney in the second half of the second stage of Sunday’s race. They had a close moment when Elliott approached Blaney, who needed to get checked out. Blaney moved up momentarily and passed Elliott. Elliott made the move in turn four to take the lead.

Ryan Blaney regained the lead after the second round of green flag pit stops in Sunday’s race. He made his pit stop on lap 114. Playoff drivers lead the top five:

  1. Ryan Blaney
  2. Chase Elliott
  3. Christopher Bell
  4. William Byron
  5. Denny Hamlin

Most of the playoff drivers made perfect pit stops under the green. Ryan Blaney had to make a slightly longer stop to ensure his right rear fender did not cause further damage after scraping the wall.

Otherwise, a second clean round of green flag pit stops at Homestead.

All the playoff drivers are trying to gain the lead as the green flag pit stops approach.

Top five:

  1. Elliott
  2. Hamlin
  3. Reddick
  4. Blaney
  5. Hochevar

Ryan Blaney won the dirt race and now leads at Homestead. After the stage break, the race is back under the green flag. Blaney is one of the playoff drivers who most likely needs a win to qualify for Championship 4.

Chase Elliott and Bubba Wallace raced past Blaney coming out of turn two. Elliott is in the lead.

Tyler Reddick won the first stage of Sunday’s race. He led 57 laps in Sunday’s race.

Top 10 after the first stage:

  1. Tyler Reddick
  2. Bubba Wallace
  3. Chase Elliott
  4. Ryan Blaney
  5. Carson Hochevar
  6. Christopher Bell
  7. Denny Hamlin
  8. William Byron
  9. Alex Bowman
  10. Martin Truex Jr.

Kyle Busch led the field to the green flag, but Bubba Wallace made a bold move midway through the first turn and now leads. Tyler Reddick is the second and best playoff driver.

Kyle Larson hit the wall exiting Turn 2 and damaged his right rear fender. He was running second when his wheel broke. The No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet appears to have no significant damage to the underbody. It took the team a long time to inspect the car.

“I can live with that,” Larson said over the team radio.

Pit Road is busy, under caution.

This is the first time green flag pit stops have taken place at Homestead. Chase Elliott had a slight problem with Daniel Suarez as he exited the pit box, but the playoff drivers had no problems during their first pit stops on Sunday.

Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson beat Reddick exiting pit road to move past the 45th spot.

It’s a three-car battle for the lead with playoff drivers Tyler Reddick, Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson.

Larson attempted to take the lead against Reddick on the bottom line of the track, nearly skidding off the surface going into the first turn.

Justin Haley started 10th, made contact with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in turn three and spun his No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet. Everyone missed him as they drove through the scene.

Let’s get some playoff racing done at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Tyler Reddick brings the field to green. Kyle Larson spun his tires at the start and was passed by Christopher Bell in turn one.

Joey Logano and Chris Buescher had power steering problems and had to move to the back of the field.

Watch the drivers drive their cars near the walls throughout the race. This is commonly referred to as “plank running” or “wall running”. This is where the most grip is found on the race track. When the sun goes down and the track temperature drops, the bottom line, located near the white line of the turns, becomes the place to run.

The fuel window is 64-69 laps and the stages are 80 laps, 85 laps and 102 laps. Mid-stage pit stops, like last week’s race in Las Vegas, will be a strategy for some teams. Joey Logano won last week’s race thanks to a long fuel burn in the final stage. Watch for a similar call in the final stage.

Otherwise, drivers will likely pit once in each of the first two stages, between stages, and most likely twice in the final stage. If a late warning sounds, good luck crunching those numbers.
