Destiny 2 Compensates Players With Free Emblem After Weapon Perks Saga

While this is certainly a great example of community coming together and great communication on Bungie’s part, Destiny 2The saga of weapon perks is perhaps the biggest, strangest, and most shocking problem in the history of first-person shooters. As a result, Bungie began attempting to rectify the situation. For months, players have been claiming that certain throws always seem to be harder to obtain, but Bungie has always failed to detect the in-game issue. However, after analyzing the data collected by the community, he admitted that there was indeed a problem – a big one, hidden deep in the Destiny 2 code.

A few days ago, Bungie said it was “working quickly” to fix the weapon perk bug, and it has now given an estimate of Tuesday, November 5th, when it will release the fix live. This is certainly encouraging, but Bungie is also wasting no time trying to make amends with players.

To begin with, he releases a new free Destiny 2 Emblem Code for the Infinity Conqueror logo, which cleverly features a bullet theme. “Deep in our vaults we found a suitable emblem that seemed designed for this,” says Bungie. “The logo will symbolize a moment in time when many members of the community came together to help us define this problem. On top of that, Bungie is also hoping to “get our hands on weapons that had perk rolls with lower RNG chances than intended” due to the bug. “Not only will our RNG systems be overhauled, but you’ll have a better chance of catching those shots you’ve been looking for.” I won’t go into detail just yet, but it sounds like a promising prospect.

Bungie ends his message with a further commitment to write a detailed blog post about this entire situation to provide even more transparency into what happened, what the extent of the effect was, and how to fix it.
