Harris said no such thing during the interview. She said she has a team ready to respond if former President Donald Trump prematurely declares victory in the presidential election and criticized Trump’s reluctance to accept the results of the 2020 election.

Harris said she considered the possibility of Trump denying the election results

At no time during 22-minute sit-down interview with NBC with Harris said the vice president she did not agree with the election results.

Instead, NBC’s Hallie Jackson asked Harris what plans Trump would have had if Trump had baselessly declared victory on election night because he did in 2020. Harris responded in part by saying her team has the “resources, experience and commitment” to respond to events on election night and in the days following.

Jackson asked Harris if that meant she had “the teams ready” and if she had considered the possibility of Trump declaring victory prematurely again.

“Of course,” Harris said. “This is a man, Donald Trump, who tried to overturn a free and fair election, and who still denies the will of the people.”

She kept judging Trump’s role in the events of January 6, 2021attack on the US Capitol and its Truth in Social Media Post 2022 in which he called for the suspension of the Constitution.

Trump said during his June debate against President Joe Biden that he will only accept the election results if, in his opinion, “it is a fair, legal and good election.” Since then, Trump and his allies appear to be laying the groundwork for legal challenges to the election results if he does not win. as reported by USA TODAY.

The post makes a number of other allegations about Harris’ statements. during an interviewsome of which are accurate:

  • It claims Harris said she would “make pro-life Christians and Christian organizations pay for abortions.” When Jackson asked whether she would be open to religious exemptions on abortion, Harris said, “I don’t think we should make concessions. when we talk about the fundamental freedom to make decisions about your body.”
  • The report claims that Harris “suggested that she put Liz Cheney in her office.” This is not true. When asked whether she would consider Cheney, a former Republican congresswoman from Wyoming who campaigned for HarrisRegarding the Cabinet position, Harris was noncommittal and said, “I’ll keep you posted.”
  • The report claims Harris said President Joe Biden “never suffered from cognitive decline and was fully prepared to become president.” Harris didn’t talk specifically about her cognitive abilities, but when asked if she had been truthful with Americans about Biden’s mental acuity, she responded: She said the president is “extremely experienced, accomplished, and capable in every way that anyone could wish for if he were president.”
  • She seemed to briefly forget about Michigan when she mentioned the swing states she planned to visit, the report states.
  • The report said Harris “acknowledges that the American Dream is all but dead under her leadership.” She said the American dream is no longer something Americans can count on “as much.”
