I watched every episode of Hell’s Kitchen and Gordon Ramsay made me cry for the first time

So I love Gordon Ramsaybut my appreciation for him has increased in recent years.

During the pandemic, I mostly spent my time looking for new places and binge-watching. cooking shows that make me hungry. In the end it led me to everyone Cooking shows Gordon Ramsay, and although there are many things that I love, for example his last one, Next level chef or classic type MasterChef—there is one show that has truly captured my heart and that is Hell’s Kitchen.

The Americanized version created a real sensation and has been running for twenty-four seasons. Back then I watched all the seasons Hell’s Kitchen We still update it every year since then. It has made me laugh, stress and smile more times than I can count.

But for the first time Hell’s Kitchen made me cry—or rather, Gordon Ramsay—and I have to talk about it.

Let me start by saying that I have always loved Hell’s Kitchen.

As I said in the introduction, Hell’s Kitchen has been my favorite Ramsay show for a while now, and for good reason.

And it’s not just that there is great competition here. I love how the show has progressed so well. There are many competition shows or reality shows that repeat the same thing over and over again or go in the wrong direction.

For example, Love is blind developed in some good direction, but Love is blind Season 7 was a mess and less pleasant. The same applies to competition shows such as Voice or American Idol; They’ve changed judges and aspects of the show over the years, but perhaps not always for the better.

Hell’s Kitchen I changed something all the time, especially the last few seasons. From this season focusing primarily on chefs, to other seasons targeting young people, to the All-Star seasons, things are constantly changing, and I love it.

The show itself stresses me out – in an entertaining way

In addition to developing the show, Hell’s Kitchen really makes me feel stressed, but in a good, entertaining way, which is why it’s such good television.

Think about one of best hulu shows: Bear. It’s the most intense original series on television, but you can’t help but watch it because there’s entertainment in the stress. It lures you in, just like Hell’s Kitchen does. Will Ramsay yell at the contestants? Is he going to throw a random salmon at the wall? Or will everything get better?

This kind of stress and tension is a lot of fun for me and I feel dizzy half the time.

But in the final season, Gordon Ramsay had a very emotional moment – and it made me cry for the first time.

For the first time… instead of making me tense up or laugh or anything, Gordon Ramsay made me cry during Hell’s Kitchen – in a good way.

Let me paint the scene. This is the fifth episode of the 23rd season, and one of the participants, Egypt, the banquet chef, so close withdraw from the competition. Why? Two reasons: The Blue Team (his team) has actually ganged up on him and he’s having some difficulties. serious a homesickness that everyone can truly relate to.

These people are away from their families for weeks at a time, and he misses his family and, of course, his daughter. Anyone can understand this. When he told Ramsay about it, I half expected him to just let him go, considering we’ve already lost quite a few contestants this season. But Ramsay takes him aside.

Ramsay is actually in a candid conversation with Egypt away from the other cast members, where he admits that he too has had similar moments – especially since during filming, Ramsay’s wife had just given birth to a newborn, and he couldn’t help but be there with her . It kills him inside, but he overcomes it. He then tells Egypt that there is a reason why he keeps it to himself despite his team attacking him, and that is because Ramsay believes in him and sees what his team does not see.

They exchange hugs and Ramsay helps him regain his confidence and go into the kitchen. And this scene… it just amazed me. So hard. I think it’s because while I’ve seen Ramsay’s kinder side in many of his other shows, we don’t see that in this series.

This is a serious show and always has been. It’s about who will run Ramsay’s next restaurant, and that’s very important. But seeing his understanding side, his genuine interaction with one of the chefs, made me cry quite a bit because it just makes me realize that even the most experienced and decorated people struggle with simple things like homesickness. It’s a moment that makes you bond even more with Ramsay, and I appreciate it.

I hope we get to see this side of him more on Hell’s Kitchen

I know we rarely get to see this side of Ramsay again. This show rarely leans in that regard. But I don’t know – I would really like it. The series will continue to air as part of TV schedule for 2024and I really think people seeing Ramsay interacting more with his competitors is a big thing.

Although obviously Gordon Ramsay isn’t always the big, mean chef – because who could be? – It’s nice to see this change in heart. And I hope we see more in the future.

For now I’ll just enjoy my little one. cooking channels on YouTube while I wait for the next episode to come out and try to suppress the urge to make Beef Wellington again.
