Billionaire Mark Cuban teaches Donald Trump and UFC’s Dana White about inflation and tariffs

Billionaire NBA owner Mark Cuban supports Vice President Kamala Harris in this month’s presidential election against former President and Republican candidate Donald Trumpand his support for the Democrat is gaining momentum.

Cuban was busy setting the record straight Trump – his policies and how they affected real working class people.

The master class continued Wednesday as Cuban identified what he calls the “root” of inflation in the United States, which currently stands at 2.4%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

“We need to look at the root of inflation,” Cuban told reporters. News National Town Hall panel that included an ESPN expert Stephen A. Smith. “I’ll tell you exactly when the very first inflation core was set, and it was in April 2020. This was just in the early days of the pandemic. Gasoline prices were $1.87 (per gallon). Oil companies turned to Donald Trump and said, “We’re going to get crushed by $1.87 gas prices.” Please contact Saudi Arabia and your friend MBS (Mohammed bin Salman), please contact Russia and your friend Vladimir Putin and ask them to cut production.” So he had to make a choice. Is he helping his oil company buddies or helping keep gas prices low?

“You already know what he did. … He went to MBS and Putin and said: “Please reduce production.” This was the day inflation began. And you can track minute by minute, hour by hour, month by month, year by year, quarter by quarter, that while this agreement was in effect, all the way through 2022, gas prices continued to rise. The minute that agreement was signed and production changed, gas prices started falling and you saw inflation go down. So you can take what you want and blame it on the Biden administration, but it all started with Donald Trump.”

The Cuban also checked out the UFC CEO and President Dana Whitewho didn’t know what he was getting into when he agreed to debate the minority owner of the Mavericks in front of a national audience.

White, who introduced Trump at the Republican National Convention and spoke at the infamous Trump rally in Madison Square Gardenremained stumped after saying Harris wouldn’t have been the Democratic nominee if she hadn’t been “inserted” and that she and President Joe Biden hadn’t accomplished anything in four years.

“Dana, I love you, but you’re so wrong,” Cuban said. “Trump’s inflation is up 25% compared to the Obama economy. He decided to take no action and let 100,000 people continue to die in Yemen. Talk to him about his rates. … He had four years to make tariffs work with China. China kicked him (expletive) and sued him because he didn’t know how tariffs worked and it hurt the economy.

“The economy was booming and tariffs hit it so hard that Federal Reserve appointee Jerome Powell had to cut interest rates three times. And then we get to the real point of reckoning: the pandemic. And what does he do? He says that if we don’t test people, the virus won’t actually exist. He is holding back resources, with the exception of Vladimir Putin, to prevent people from recovering. This is not an experienced president, Dana. He didn’t do anything. What he received, he inherited.”

Many believe Cuban is positioning himself as an independent candidate in 2028. But he seems to be doing his best to present the facts and preserve democracy in the meantime.
