Where’s the love for the Toyota RAV4?

New report from iSeeCars reveals the most beloved cars and the most beloved car brands. It’s no surprise that Toyota has five of its favorite models, but it’s surprising that the RAV4 isn’t one of them.

In my recent report, I talked about my favorite cars. Find out more Here and where Toyota The RAV4 is on par with the Subaru Forester.

iSeeCars says: “Given the overall list of most loved cars, it is not surprising that Toyota has the highest percentage of car ownership over 15 years at the brand level. Honda and Lexus, which came in second and third, also have at least one model in the rankings. Top 10. After that, Mazda, Hyundai and Subaru rank above the industry average.”

Here’s iSeeCars’ ranking of the 13 favorite cars, along with the percentage of owners who have owned them for more than 15 years. Even Lexus, Toyota’s luxury division, is contributing to this feat with the IS 350, making the Japanese automaker the leader with eight cars in the top spot.

Surprisingly, however, five other Toyota models ranked higher than the RAV4 compact SUV. Additionally, the RAV4 has two other Toyota models that rank higher in the SUV category.

iSeeCars says: “It’s not easy to define ‘love’ for a car, but when the original owner has owned the car for more than 15 years, it’s safe to assume he’s quite happy with his ride. Our latest study identified 13 reasons. cars that the original owners keep for at least 15 years longer than all other cars.”

It’s interesting to note that four of the top 13 cars are equipped with a hybrid powertrain. This is likely due to Toyota’s long tradition of producing hybrids, which undoubtedly contributes to the brand’s dominance in the market. However, the RAV4 hybrid is not on the list.

How did iSeeCars obtain this data?

iSeeCars conducted a comprehensive analysis of more than 929,000 vehicles from model years 1981 to 2009 sold from January to September 2024 to determine which older vehicles are most likely to remain with their original owners. The analysis took into account factors such as reliability, durability and owner satisfaction, providing a comprehensive view of long-term ownership.

In another report from Consumer Reportsthey asked compact SUV owners, “Would you buy this car again?” The Forester was a top model, with 78% of owners answering “definitely yes” to a question in Consumer Reports’ Annual Automotive Survey.

  3. Mazda CX-5 66%

  6. Toyota RAV4 60%
  7. Ford Escape 49%

Surprisingly, the Toyota RAV4 cost only 60% of its owners, who, when asked “Would you buy this car again?”

Key findings:

  • Toyota Highlander Hybrid – the most beloved car, the highest percentage of owners keep it for 15 years or more.
  • There are seven models in the top 13 favorite Toyota cars, more than any other brand. The ranking also included the Camry Hybrid, Highlander (non-hybrid), Tacoma, Prius, RAV4 and Tundra.

  • Surprisingly, the Toyota RAV4 is Toyota’s best-selling model, but not its most loved. This is the sixth number in the Toyota line.
