HENRICO COUNTY, Virginia. Thousands of voters flocked to the streets over the weekend, taking advantage of the last opportunity to vote before Election Day.

“We have ballots locked in cages in a locked voting room, we have voting control procedures, we know how many ballots are going out and coming back. We keep daily logs of absentee voting so we know how many ballots were issued each time. That’s it for today,” Coakley said on the final day of early voting.

Defense of the electoral process in Enrico continues after the results have been tabulated.

“So on November 20th, we’re going to manually select polling places and then manually count those ballots to make sure they match what was on the tapes on Election Day, with the number of ballots cast, to make sure the machines are running in the proper order ” Coakley said.
