Cardi B lashes out at critics for clumsy speech at Kamala rally

Cardi B lashed out in response to criticism over her awkward speech at a rally for Vice President Kamala Harris.

The 32-year-old rapper faced backlash for using a cellphone to read a speech at a packed event in Milwaukee on Friday after she stood silently for a minute when the teleprompter malfunctioned.

But in an emotional video posted to TikTok, the Grammy-winning artist slammed those who criticized her, after previously blasting Elon Musk for calling her a puppet “who can’t even speak without being fed words.”

“I worked so hard, bro. I worked so hard on my speech and a lot of you were like, “Oh, why are you reading it from your phone?” Cardi B said to her haters in her video.

“Damn, I had to record that shit.”

She went on to note that she has three children and began to talk about how she sometimes rehearses in her heart what she will say to people when she sees them.

“And you know what, I forgot what I’m saying,” the rapper said. “I’ll be like hell, I was in the fucking shower for 30 minutes. But you know what, then when I’m face to face, I forget.

“So, you know, when it comes to this shit right here, you know what I wanted to say, but I needed to make sure I didn’t forget, so I wrote this damn shit.

The rapper told her followers that they will still hear why the “WAP” singer is supporting the vice president for the country’s highest office.

“You’re all going to hear what the hell I had to say and I’m proud of myself,” she said, telling her followers in a follow-up video that she “needs to praise myself more because sometimes I’m a little hard on myself .

“But like you, I actually did this shit. It’s like the ab*** was actually stripping on poles and everything, and I’m here.

She went on to say that after meeting Harris, she realized, “Like you, she means the damn business, she(e)s the damn boss.”

“And she’s really determined to win this shit,” Cardi B said.

“She acts like she needs to prove a point. “As soon as a woman feels like she needs to prove a point, we’re going to fucking step on it, and that’s exactly how she acted.”

The singer said the vice president told her she wouldn’t take no for an answer and revealed that when President Joe Biden was running against former President Donald Trump, she had no intention of voting for either candidate.

“But Kamala, bitch, you changed my mind, and you said something that made me change my mind – because a lot of people were acting blind to the crap that was going on in the Middle East. And she addressed it.

“She was like, ‘Yeah, I see it, I see it, and I’m going to fix it. If I can fix it, I’ll fix it. If I can’t fix this, I don’t know what to say.” you, because at the end of the day, I don’t run this country. But if it was up to me, I will fix it.”

‘You know what? I f*ck with you,” the rapper said of the vice president. “I fuck her because she’s a real bitch. She doesn’t pretend she doesn’t see it.”

Cardi B also criticized Harris for her lack of action under the Biden administration.

“You all have to understand that she was waiting her turn. She studied, there was little she could do, but now she can do it.

“And she promised me and looked me in the eyes like a gangster.

“She was like, ‘Look, I’m going to change this shit, I promise you.’

“I thought, ‘Oh, she’s a little gangster,’” the rapper recalls. – And I believe in her.

The vice president has received the support of many celebrities, and the election is just one day away.

Among those whose support she managed to enlist were Eminem, football player Travis Kelsey and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Some actors have even made commercials to support it, including Billy Eichner and Will Ferrell, and more recently, Harrison Ford.

Trump has since admitted that he was “very disappointed” to see Julia Roberts take part in an ad supporting Kamala Harris ahead of the election, saying she would “look back and cringe.”

The former president spoke to Fox & Friends after Roberts voiced an ad from the liberal group Vote Common Good that encouraged wives to hide their support for Harris from their husbands.

In response, Trump said, “I’m so disappointed in Julia Roberts because I like… she’ll look back at this and cringe.”

Roberts’ ad was released alongside another narrated by fellow Harris supporter, George Clooney, urging men to hide their votes for Harris from their male Republican friends.
