Authorities also added that the victim was later airlifted to a local hospital, saying he suffered “serious injuries from a fall and entrapment, as well as severe hypothermia due to exposure to water.”

According to authorities, hazmat control was initiated after the tractor leaked fluids and the team responded by placing “absorbent materials in the creek to prevent fuel or other liquids from entering the waterway.”

The tractor was removed from the creek by 6 p.m., authorities said.
