Entrants and riders confirmed for Friday’s Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter – Bryony Frost has returned to the UK to ride a thrilling chaser.

Bryony Frost will return to riding in Britain on Friday after she was offered a ride on the Paul Nicholls-trained Sans Bruit in the 2nd Class Haldon Gold Cup (2.25) in Exeter.

The jockey spent the summer in France and is preparing for her first outing on home soil since her run at Newton Abbot on August 22. She is showing winning form at Sans Bruit after the pair were graded 3 at the Aintree Grand National Meeting in April.

Joe Tizzard is responsible for two of the six entered entries in the Grade 2 event as the trainer bids to win the race for a second year.

Tizzard, who enjoyed success with subsequent Clarence House Chase winner Elixir De Nutz 12 months ago, saddles JPR One And Scarface in the £100,000 competition, with the former making his first appearance since finishing seventh to Gaelic Warrior in the Arkle at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

The seven-year-old won two of his five starts last season, including the Grade 2 Lightning Novices Chase at Lingfield in January, and also scored on his regulation debut at Exeter in November 2021.
