Isabelle Nolan will represent Ireland at the 2026 Venice Biennale.

Dublin artist Isabelle Nolan will represent Ireland at the 61st Venice Biennale of Art in 2026. The pavilion is curated by Georgina Jackson, director of the Douglas Hyde Gallery of Contemporary Art at Trinity College Dublin.

In a statement, the biennial said: “Nolan’s exhibitions are based on important themes: cosmology and deep history; religion and mythology; mortality and love.” In 2027, Nolan’s work in Venice will be shown at various venues across Ireland; she will also take part in the 13th Liverpool Biennial next year (BedrockJune 7 – September 14), curated by Marie-Anne McQuay.
