CNN’s Van Jones claims Harris supporters are ‘going to bed with a nightmare’

CNN Van Jones said supporters of the vice president Kamala Harris going to sleep “with a nightmare” after election day amid a predicted loss Donald Trump.

Harris’ campaign announced she would not speak at the election watch party and would instead wait until Wednesday morning. This occurs due to oscillating states Georgia and Pennsylvania was won by Trump, with other swing states like Michigan and Wisconsin leaning toward the former president.

Shortly after the Georgia announcement, Jones said Harris supporters, including black women, were “crushed” because they were “facing pushback” over Harris’ likely defeat.

“And they’re not the only ones hurting today,” Jones said. “If you are the parent of a transgender child, your child’s face has been used as a springboard for someone else’s power. It’s unpleasant. Tomorrow there will be people who will dry-clean their clothes to people who do not have documents. There will be people brushing your teeth tomorrow who don’t have papers and are scared tonight.”

Jones concluded that these people go to bed with a “nightmare” and they will be the ones who will “pay the price” if Trump becomes president.

CNN’s David Urban, a Republican strategist, pushed back on Jones’ assessment, asking whether it was possible that some of the people he discussed voted for Trump. He also said that “these black women were let down by the Democratic Party, not Donald Trump.”
