The competition is a preliminary event 50th Commemoration Ceremony August 23, 2025, 10:00 am – 12 pm at the Libby Dam Visitor Center. A reception will follow the ceremony.

Participation in the competition is open to all ages. The logo contest is free to enter. Applications must be submitted to [email protected] by January 1, 2025, 11:59 p.m. EDT.

Libby Dam provides flood control, produces hydroelectric power, manages natural and cultural resources and recreational facilities, and promotes irrigation and navigation downstream.

“We are looking for a community-designed logo that highlights the many uses Libby Dam has today,” said park ranger Susan James. “We will feature the chosen logo on our commemorative materials, so everyone is encouraged to submit their ideas for consideration.”

The selected work will also be featured on the official commemorative merchandise, official public website and social media.

“We hope that students who have joined us on our previous educational tours will take advantage of the holidays to get creative and inspired to share their ideas with us,” James said.

Competition entries will be displayed on Libby Dame 50th Anniversary Webpage.
