Gloucester sex offender jailed for indecent images of children

A 71-year-old man has been jailed after admitting making thousands of indecent images of children.

Philip Wood, of Westgate Street, Gloucester, was sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court after pleading guilty to eight counts of making images and nine counts of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

Wood was given a SHPO in 2020 when he was sentenced at the same court for a number of previous sex offences.

He was sentenced to three years in prison on October 23 and will remain a registered sex offender for the rest of his life.
