Clown Art will ring the Nasdaq closing bell on Halloween

Monstrous Clown Art from Horror 3 heads to the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square on Halloween to make some noise.

Horror 3 Studio and distributor Cineverse (Nasdaq: CNVS) said in a press release that it will celebrate the shocking horror film’s box office success in New York on Thursday when Art the Clown rings the closing bell.

Horror 3 opened in theaters on October 11 and was a surprise hit Joker: Folie à Deux from first place a week after the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster “Joker” hit theaters.

David Howard Thornton reprises the role of Art the Clown in the second film. Horror sequel, written and directed by series creator Damien Leone.

“Art Clown and Horror 3 took Joker to the box office and won, and now he’s fighting on the street,” Gary Loffredo, Cineverse’s general counsel, said in a press release. “As our company celebrates one of the most exciting milestones since it began listing on Nasdaq nearly two decades ago, it is only fitting that on Halloween we are joined by an iconic character from our first film to ring the closing bell.”

According to the release, Art the Clown will be joined by various Cineverse executives and guests, as well as representatives Horror 3.

What is Horror 3 about?

Official logline for Horror 3 reads: “After surviving a Halloween massacre perpetrated by Art the Clown, Sienna (Lauren LeVera) and her brother struggle to rebuild their shattered lives. As the holiday season approaches, they are trying to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind.”

Horror 3 has been a huge success at the box office since the film’s release on October 11.

According to Numbers, Horror 3 earned $45 million domestically and $6 million internationally, with worldwide box office receipts to date of $51 million against a production budget of $2 million excluding print and advertising.

Horror 3 also a hit Rotten Tomatoes critics giving the film a 77% “fresh” rating based on 104 reviews.

RT The critics’ consensus reads: “Taking the ax to Christmas cheer and everything else in its path, Horror 3 This is one hell of a fantastic stocking stuffer for the holiday season.”

The film also received 86% “fresh” audience ratings on RT, based on over 2,500 verified user ratings.

Horror 3– which is unrated – is playing in cinemas across the country.
