“Holy Smoke” this is not just another song for Bailey Zimmerman.

In a recent press interview, Bailey discussed the difficult recording process and how it led him to transition to new vocals.

“When we recorded (‘Holy Smokes’), it was hard to get it right, and I had to learn to sing differently when I recorded the song,” Bailey recalls. “So it feels more energetic, harder and deeper.”

“Over the last three years, I’ve had to learn to love, not just sing, but sing properly and breathe and learn to use this part of my voice and this part of my voice,” Bailey shares.

Bailey then sang “Nothing About Those Nights Was Like Sin” in two different ways, explaining how it caused him to vocally go from calm to passionate.

“That was hard to sing, you know?” he says. “So I spend a lot of time on those vocals.”

“Holy Smokes” is currently in the Top 40 and moving up the country charts.
