Harris campaign confirms VP won’t host Joe Rogan’s podcast

Harris campaign spokesman Ian Sams told MSNBC that the vice president will not be on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

“We’ve talked to Rogan and his team about a podcast, but unfortunately it won’t work right now due to the schedule of this campaign period,” Sams told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes.

Sams also said that “the vice president is happy to go anywhere and any place to talk to a broad segment of the country.”

Reuters reported Harris may have been interviewed on Rogan’s podcast last week to energize more male voters. The outlet reported that Harris campaign officials met with Rogan’s team earlier this week but did not confirm their presence.

Former President Trump plans for an interview Friday with podcaster “The Joe Rogan Experience,” who boasts more than 14 million subscribers on Spotify, according to in Politico. The former president never attended Rogan’s show, which has come under fire in recent years for comments on public health and other controversial issues.
