Regional Express donates free air tickets to Liberals, Nationals and Labor

Regional Express, the local airline better known as Rex, donated up to $100,000 in free flights to help major political parties campaign in the last election, raising new questions about how airlines and other regulated companies are currying favor with Canberra.

Pressure is also mounting on the coalition’s transport spokesman Bridget McKenzie reveals how many free upgrades she didn’t declare after Australian Financial Review said it had written to three major airlines asking for information, and sources said there were at least two.
