“A truly exciting end to the year”

“A truly exciting end to the year”

Actress Alia Bhatt couldn’t stop herself from praising Varun Dhawan after watching his action-packed avatar in the teaser of Baby John. Taking to Instagram Story, Alia wrote a note appreciating not only Varun but also the film’s leading ladies, Vamika Gabbi and Keerthy Suresh.

“Wow, wow, wow, wow!!! What’s happening!!! First the citadel, now baby John will really take over at the end of the year and then we will see two of the best actors we have today (c) Keerthysureshofficial and (c) Wamigagabbi. ..can’t wait to see ALL of this come to life,” she wrote.

Earlier in the day, the makers of “Baby John” showed the film to audiences.

“Little John” is portrayed as a mass action drama, enriched with emotional overtones. Dhawan plays a police officer and a single father, portraying a character who is not afraid to face his opponents head on.

In a powerful scene, he declares, “Mere jaise bohat aaye hoge, main pehali baar aaya hu” (“Many may have come before me, but I came here for the first time”), setting the tone for his heroic journey.

The teaser also features Keerthy Suresh in the female lead while veteran actor Jackie Shroff plays a brief but impressive role as the antagonist.

Wamika Gabbi and Rajpal Yadav round out the cast, contributing to the dynamic ensemble of the film.

The film is directed by A Kaleeswaran with the support of renowned director Atlee. It will hit theaters this December.

Varun also has Citadel: The Honey Bunny. In the series, he will be seen sharing screen space with Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

The series is set against the vibrant backdrop of the 1990s.

Citadel: The Honey Bunny, written by Sita R. Menon and directed by Raj and D.K. (Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK), is the Indian installment of the global Citadel franchise. Executive Produced by AGBO Russo Brothers, “Citadel” and its sequel. The original action-espionage series spans the globe and explores the story of the spy agency Citadel and its powerful enemy syndicate Manticore.

Citadel: Sweet Bunny premieres on Prime Video on November 7th.
