If there were any words to describe the last six days, Lonnell would describe them as devastating.

“Yeah, man,” he said. – I haven’t gotten enough sleep yet. So, let’s hope she comes back to us.”

His 71-year-old sister Vivian went missing last Tuesday. Freda Hammock, Vivian’s relative, spoke to her that morning.

“‘I love you. See you later,’ Freda said, remembering that moment. ‘And she waved. She said, ‘I love you too!’ That was the last time I saw her.”

CCTV footage from nearby Pink Rose Cafe shows Vivian heading outside at around 10.18am. Lt. Kathy Lynch of the La Mesa Police Department said Vivian had turned west, possibly getting something to eat, and then turned back the other way when she was last seen heading east on La Mesa Boulevard.

“Of course, there is a trolley station directly east of here,” Lt. Lynch told ABC 10News. “So we worked with MTS, looking at their video to determine if she got on the trolley, if she got on the bus, which bus, which trolley and which way she went from there.”

Lt. Lynch said the search has so far been unsuccessful.

The family is especially concerned because Vivian has dementia and diabetes and has not been taking her medication this entire time.

Vivian has a distinctive mole above her lip and always wears a headband. You can see both on the “Missing Person” flyer created by the La Mesa Police Department.
