Walkthrough of Dragon Age The Veilguard In Memoriam

Memory in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a side quest you can get in Dock Town in Minrathus. In this quest, you become a detective to help the spirit of Compassion bring peace to the victims of brutal murders.

However, like most things in Dragon Age: Guardian of the VeilThis is not an easy task, since there will be demons standing between you and solving the murders. Don’t let that stop you, you are Rook and you have a job to do.

Walkthrough of Dragon Age The Veilguard In Memoriam

To start In Memoriam, go for a walk through Razikala in Dock Town and you will find a body on the ground with a sword impaled on it. We have marked this place for you on the map below:

Interact with the body to examine it and several demons will appear, one of them will be Dejection and they are slightly stronger than the others. Fight them, and the spirit of Compassion will appear in the body.

Talk to Compassion to learn that this is one of three demonic murders in Dock Town, and being helpful, you decide to investigate them and find out who the victims were.

Murder one – murder on the bridge

To find out who the first murder victim is (since you’ve already found his body), go up the small stairs behind where you met Compassion, then follow the trail of blood on the ground. It will lead you up the stairs to your left.

At the top of the stairs, follow the blood trail to your left and enter a small building. When you enter the building, there will be a book on the table to your left. Chat with her to find out that the first victim was the gardener.

Compassion will appear once again and you will solve the murder on the bridge, with two more to deal with.

Murder Two – Temple Murder

Your first task for the second murder is to find the victim. To do this, exit the building you are in and follow the quest marker to your left. He’ll take you past the fast travel beacon and through a set of doors into the Temple of Andraste.

Here, go left, then go up the tall stairs. If you encounter Venatori here, deal with them or run past them (they’re not really important right now). Walk past the courtyard into the Temple and follow the path to the right through the pillars.

Then follow the path to your left until it leads you to Andraste’s Watch. Once here, go to the wooden platform to your right and you will find a sacrifice here.

Interact with them and more demons will appear, this time the strongest one is Remorse, but you can defeat them the same way as before.

Once you defeat them, Compassion will appear next to the victim. Talk to them and your next task will be to find out who they were. From the body, follow the bloody trail down the steps and to the right.

Continue along the path and it will lead you to a workbench on a slightly raised platform near the statue of Fen’Harel. Interact with the piece of paper on this table to learn that the victim was a scientist named Marcus.

Now there’s one more murder left to solve.

Murder Three – Market Murder

To find the last murder victim, we used a fast travel beacon to the left of the marked murder location on the map (this allowed us to get there much faster):

From the lighthouse, go left and follow the path until you find large doors. In front of the doors you will see more traces of blood, follow them to the left, where you will find a victim near the wall. As you get closer, more demons will appear, and this time the strongest one will be called Isolation. Take them out as you did with the previous sets.

Once the demons are destroyed, talk to Compassion next to the body. From the body, follow the blood trail forward and to the left. When it stops, jump over the ledge to the wooden platform on the right and go up the stairs.

At the top of the stairs, go right and you will find a scroll on the edge of the box. Read this to find out that the victim was an artist.

That’s it – you’ve now solved all three murders and brought peace to Compassion!
