Two children suffered minor injuries after being hit by Crowchild

A school bus with 40 children on board collided with a car Thursday at the intersection of Crowchild Trail and Glenmore Trail.

The incident occurred around 12:35 p.m. The car flipped on its side, the driver was trapped inside and needed to be extricated.

A Calgary police spokesman confirmed there were 40 children on the bus, two of whom suffered minor injuries that were assessed at the scene. No one was taken to the hospital.

The city’s social media reports indicate multiple lanes are blocked on southbound Crowchild Trail at Glenmore Trail SW.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution.
