Get ready for an amazing football game Saturday in the Mountain West when the Nevada Wolfpack invades Albertsons Stadium for a conference matchup with the Boise State Broncos.

Nevada is looking to end a three-game losing streak, but my predictions for Nevada vs. Boise State suggest a high-scoring game that the Broncos should win easily.

My analysis

Boise State Broncos the offense is dominant. Sure, they have one of the best offensive players in all of football, but the Broncos are more than just RB Ashton Jeanty.

Broncos RB star can run all over the track Nevada wolf pack just like everyone else this season. Jeanty’s defensive dominance is usually a given, but Boise State has a solid 11-man roster that outscores the Mountain West by 45.8 points per game.

The Broncos have gone over 45+ in three of their last five. Sophomore QB Maddux Madsen had 17 scores with two interceptions, and six of his fellow Broncos had more than 100 receiving yards.

It’s hard for anyone to stop. Nevada has given up more than its average of 22 points in five straight games. They do a better job against the pass than they do against the rush, but they are mediocre overall, and mediocrity won’t stop the Broncos offense.

Luckily for Nevada, their offense is better than mediocre. They have a powerful rushing attack, led by a two-way attack in quarterback Brandon Lewis and running back Savion Red.

Both rushed for over 600 yards. Lewis threw for another 1,542 passing yards on 11 carries and five picks. This group has scored 21+ in four of their last five and should score 21+ on Saturday night.

If the Wolfpack gets to 21+, which I believe they will, the game will end with the overall score advantage. The Broncos’ stop block is also mediocre. They’ve allowed 24+ in four of their last five.

Boise State defends against the rush but ranks eighth in the Mountain West against the pass. This should open the door for Lewis to have a big night with his hand, and if he does, it will be a night that ends because of the numbers.

Nevada vs. Boise State in One Game (SGP)

More than 60.5

Brandon Lewis lands anytime

Boise State -23.5

Lewis is a true gem that FOX viewers will enjoy watching. The Wolf Pack QB is the second-leading rusher in Nevada and has scored at least one touchdown in each of the last four.

Boise State gave up 11 rushing TDs in the red zone, which should allow Lewis to call his number and find value at least once.

Lewis’ rushing and passing prowess will help fuel the over, but won’t help Nevada cover the spread. The Broncos are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games and face a Wolfpack team with a 2-2-1 record in their previous five games.
